I critiqued Shelly Navarros art piece
I see a geometrical flower, and I notice that the colors that were used were triadic, the shades used were all geometrical and it's painted over a purple background.
I see that everything painted used lines to create different geometrical shapes. The texture gives off that the rose has its petals and stems with leaves on it.
In the art piece, I see a bright orange rose, it makes me feel enlightened and interested, the most important piece of the art is the use of geometric shapes. The artist created this piece to represent the high school experience. This piece tells me how high school, and life can give you many opportunities, energy, and desire.
I like this piece of art because the meaning behind it can resonate with everyone, and even if someone doesn't understand the meaning, they can make the art mean something just by looking at it because it is bright and inspiring to look at.
Brittany Truongs art piece
I think this painting is very cute and definitely gives off a creepy vibe. The coloring is very gloomy, and it goes extremely well with the vibe. The only thing is that I feel the heart window coloring doesn't match the painting since it's pink. Other than that, this painting is very well painted! It makes me feel scared and mysterious.
I see a mushroom with creepy buggy eyes on it and dark scary clouds in the background, I notice that the colors are greyed down, giving it a less bright happy look, I also noticed that everything is colored over a dark blue background.
I see that everything is painted with smooth curved lines, the texture gives off an even creepier vibe since it looks fake and has an uneasy vibe
In the art piece, I see a big mushroom with red irritated gloomy bug eyes, with a heart window on the stem, a little door, and dark grey clouds contrasting against the blue background, I notice the shadows that make it stand out. This artist created this piece to represent how her heart is open and how she cares about her family - being the eyes that each represent someone in her family. This piece tells me how much the artist cares about her family and how she feels towards them.
I like this art piece because it's very unique and it would look like it would mean something creepy, but it actually just shows how she cares about them.
