My Portfolio
My art portfolio where you will find pictures of my projects and work!
For this art piece, I wanted it colorful, while also making it personal to me, I made a colorful background while each of the black "blobs" represent a memory I've had in my life! I created this piece by blending the colors in the background, going over that, and then simply freestyling the shapes with black paint that I went over to make it as black as possible. My goal for this piece was to have me look at it and go "I remember that" with all my significant hidden symbols. My overall thoughts about this piece are that I like it! I like the color, the meaning, and the funny blobs.

For this art piece, I wanted to show the importance and impact of global warming on nature. Specifically, I wanted this to show areas of northern California since I love it there. I used the soot from a candle to create the smoke, representing the smoky air from the fires, and colored pencils to color the paper, then added other details like the bear and swirls on the trees and waterfall. My goal for this art piece was to represent my concern for the fires going on in California and the devastating impacts they have on the redwood forests.

For this art piece , I wanted to show the importance and impact of oil pollution in the ocean, (this also pairs with my soot art piece.) I wanted this to show a coral reef, messy and unhealthy, with a fish with 'X' eyes, indictating that the fish is unhealthy too. To create this art piece I used watercolor paint and a straw to blow the paint around to create the coral reef effect, I also splat other colors around the reef and added purple streaks coming down to represent the oil. My goal for this art piece was to raise concern about what's happening in the ocean with all the oil and what it is doing to our enviorment.

For this art piece, I wanted to show colors and swirls, representing my brain! I chose certain colors like yellow, red, purple, blue, green, and pink, each color means something different that goes around in my head. For example, the color pink represents compassion as I am compassionate for many things in my life. I created this art piece by using gel and water mixed, and oil drops to create the marbling effect, then swirling it around. My goal for this art piece was just to remind myself that my brain is full of life and there is a lot to live for.

For this art piece, I wanted to show my love for my cat. I chose to paint the ornament the earth - because my cat means the whole world to me. I chose darker colors of green and blue because his vibe just gives off calming vibes and to me, darker colors are more calming and nice. I used acrylic paint to first paint the base color - dark blue, and then I splotched on lighter colors wherever, and after that dried I put the green "land" parts. My goal for this art piece was to just have an ornament I can cherish around Christmas time and appreciate my cat that I love oh so dearly.

For this art piece, the theme was fantasy. I decided to do something alien and began researching different kinds of aliens. I came up with creating a skin walker and began sketching my ideas. Eventually, I twisted some parts of the sketch to create a cubism effect in the painting and tried to make it as blocky as possible. Then, I began painting in grey monotone colors, but I chose brighter blue colors for the background to introduce a contrast. To add finishing touches, a crumpled-up piece of paper towel and patted paint on the paper towel off to the canvas, creating a cool texture. Overall, I love my painting and I think it turned out great. The only thing I would change would be to make the skin of the alien less transparent.

For this art piece I wanted to show that there's so many wonders in the world. I added little man in a moon fishing for stars to show that you should always reach for new things, try new things, and hope for new great things. To create this art piece I first added layers of watercolor green, purple, and blue, then added salt to give it a unique texture like in space. I then added a little cottage and some planets and galaxy things in sharpie.
For this art piece, I wanted to honor my cat that died. I chose to paint a tree with sakura blossoms on the tree and down at the bottom of the painting because they symbolize life and death and I think that it's important to honor the things we love even if they're dead. I chose bright happy colors since it gives my painting a good vibe and also make the clouds look fluffy and calming. I created this art piece by first coloring the background in a bright blue, then outlining everything I was going to paint in pencil, I then started painting the tree and adding little strokes in different shades of brown to imitate a tree trunk. To make the cat I painted the cat in brown then added layers of a darker brown on top and blended that in, as well as adding white to the chest and blending that. Then I added details to the face that made the cat have more character. And finally, to top the paitning off, I squiggled some green vines in the back and on top and added a bunch of blossoming sakuras! I am happy with my painting and there's nothing I would do different.

For this art piece, I chose to draw a red panda because I share many characteristics that red pandas have, not only that, but they are very similar to cats and my favorite animal is also a cat. I first started out this project by sketching a box, 2 inches out from each side, and sketching out the trees and panda, then I watercolored the inside of the box using color, and watercolored the tree with grey, then I used sharpie to create the ink effect and outlined the previously sketched sakura blossoms. I chose to draw sakura blossoms because they symbolize beauty, and I think red pandas are beautfiful.
